MCS Group are delighted to be partnering exclusively with the Board of Governors of St. Dominic's Grammar School in Belfast, as they seek to appoint a Bursar.

Leading on all Finance and Corporate Services functions, and playing a pivotal role within the Senior Leadership team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to and build on the school's long-standing vision and commitments.

The Rewards:

Remuneration will be in-line with experience at the point of commencing the role, falling between NJC points 43-49 (£51,515-57,559), and reviewed annually.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Principle, you will be joining a financially robust and astute voluntary Grammar. At the centre of your responsibilities will be the successful management of the financial affairs, budgetary control, administration, non-teaching personnel of the school and buildings and grounds of the school.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Overseeing the payroll function
• Managing budgets and cashflow
• Preparation of year-end financial statements
• Overseeing the annual internal and external audit process
• Form part of the Senior Leadership team, advising on strategy, policy and appraisals
• Lead and manage the school support staff

Could this be right for you?

• You are a fully qualified accountant with current membership of one of the five CCAB bodies (or CIMA or equivalent) and have spent a minimum of 3 years strategically leading, managing and developing a finance function within a multidisciplinary organisation.
