Governance & Compliance Manager

MCS Group are looking for a Governance & Compliance Manager to join a commercial semi-state organisation based in Co Kildare.

The Company:

Our client is a well-known semi-state organisation based in Co Kildare and have multiple sites across Ireland. They have a range of business units that provide multiple services to their extensive customers base. Now is a great time to be joining the company as they look to add a Governance & Compliance Manager to their finance function.

The Role:

• Deliver efficient company secretarial services for HRI subsidiaries, accurate meeting minutes, coordination of board meetings, governance support, deputising for the Company Secretary.
• Introduction of policy management and compliance.
• Decision maker for freedom of information requests, managing FOI process.
• Report on and ensure compliance of Code of Practice, coordinate code updates.
• Leading process improvement, highlighting areas to streamline/automate processes & assisting in the implementation process.
• Ensuring data accuracy, financial controls and compliance of company policy.

The Person:

• Bachelors in relevant area of study
• 10 years work experience, 4 years experience in a governance function
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Stakeholder management skills
• Experience leading systems improvements and developing reporting frameworks.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory frameworks.
• An interest in ESG Reporting Standards is desirable.
