Financial Accountant

This role offers the opportunity to lead core accounting functions, support effective decision-making through accurate reporting, and contribute to strong governance and audit readiness across a fast-paced organisation.

The role:

• Line manage off a small finance team including oversight of payroll
• Oversee daily finance processes and internal controls
• Maintain and develop monthly accounts and the Accounts Workbook
• Use Account NI for financial transactions and reporting
• Prepare monthly governance returns and support year-end accounts
• Lead audit preparation and liaise with internal and external auditors

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential:

• Qualified accounts technician
• Experience in financial accounting or audit
• Line management experience

In addition to the standard pre-employment checks, this position will also be subject to enhanced clearance.
