Facilities Manager

MCS Group is proud to be partnering with a leading specialist manufacturer in Belfast to recruit a Facilities Manager.

Our client is a recognised global leader in producing complex components for the automotive industry, with a reputation for innovation, quality, and excellence.

In this role, you will take ownership of the management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all plant and factory facilities, playing a key role in driving efficiency and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee service contracts, reviewing cost-effectiveness and deciding on in-house vs. outsourced solutions.
• Lead facility and energy efficiency projects, from installation and commissioning through to delivery, keeping all stakeholders fully informed.
• Monitor and analyse energy consumption across the site (gas and electricity), identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Reduce operating costs by challenging suppliers and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

About You:

• HND (or equivalent) in Building Services or Engineering.
• Experience in a plant maintenance/site services/utilities environment.
• Proven experience in team management and contractor supervision.
• Strong negotiation skills with experience managing service contracts.
• Highly organised with excellent analytical skills.
• Effective communicator with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• IT literate with good reporting ability.
