Environmental Health Officer (Public Sector)

We are pleased to be working with a large public sector organisation to recruit an Environmental Health Officer based in Antrim.

The Role

• Enforce statutory provisions which fall within the remit of Environmental Health.
• Support the Environmental Health manager in achieving strategic objectives.
• Identify information needs within the business and residential community relative to Environmental Health matters.
• Devise, plan and participate in training and information campaigns to promote awareness of legislative requirements and health issues.
• Contribute to the improvement of environment, health and well-being of business and residential community, identifying needs and participating in relevant education and promotional programmes.
• Investigate and resolve complaints.

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential:

• A relevant qualification in Environmental health.
• Relevant Environmental Health experience.
• Strong communicator.
• Knowledge of current Environmental Health legislation.
