Electrical Design Engineer

MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting an Electrical Design Engineer based in County Derry. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on technical challenge and precision - designing low-voltage switchgear systems for large-scale, global projects in a rapidly expanding industry.
Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop low-voltage (LV) switchgear solutions in line with client and project requirements.
• Produce detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation using EPLAN and AutoCAD.
• Translate client single line diagrams and specifications into accurate, manufacturable designs.
• Collaborate with mechanical, systems, and manufacturing teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in EPLAN or similar electrical design software.
• Experience using AutoCAD 2D for electrical layouts and documentation.
