Diocesan Finance Manager - Part or Full Time

MCS Group are pleased to be supporting one of Northern Ireland's Diocese in their appointment of a dedicated Finance Manager on a part- or full-time basis.

Your new role...

Representing the Diocese to all parties, you will lead in the provision of accounting and financial services, reporting, and provide support and advice to parishes on financial matters.

Supported by a wider office team, you will ensure full compliance with financial regulations and implement good governance processes.

Acting as Finance Manager, you will carry out a range of responsibilities across the following areas:

• Accounting and record keeping, including but not limited to; monthly reconciliations, fund accounts, donations, investments, annual accounts preparation, payroll and expense payments.
• Reporting and FP&A duties, including the preparation of annual budgets and identifying risks to financial performance.
• Managing the function of the Finance & Governance Committee.
• Providing Parish support, including support and training to parish treasurers.

Your achievements to date...

You are a fully qualified accountant with current membership of one of the five CCAB bodies (or CIMA or equivalent)

You have gained 3 or more years experience within a Finance Manager role or are looking for the opportunity to progress at this level.

You posses an awareness of charity accounting practices, regulations, and reporting requirements.

You have excellent communication skills and can relay financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

You are comfortable using financial software including MS Excel and SAGE.
