Purple Team - Threat Simulation Engineer

MCS Group is seeking one of the most exciting Cyber Security roles to come onto the market here in NI. Acting within this client's global purple team you will ultimately work to protect their IT estate from intrusion, using all of your "grey hat" experience to deeply understand, and reproduce current and emerging threats, to test their ability to intrude into your IT systems and infrastructure, and then to work with a wide variety of skillsets to plug those gaps that you find.

The role

• One of those unique roles within the NI Cyber Community
• Global IT estate to protect
• Work across their SOC, Security engineering teams and others to protect their IT assets
• Train staff and ensure their knowledge is up to date with the global emerging threat landscape
• Work within the company's global purple team
• Protect some of the most valuable data on the planet

Needed to succeed

• ERD, SOC, cloud (AWS), infrastructure as code, and Security tools
• Create new threat alerts, and augment those currently being used
• Be the senior expert for their SOC team for a vicious new threat that emerges as an escalation point
• Proven automation or scripting skills within a security environment
• A proven passion for working at the bleeding edge of cybersecurity
