Design Engineer (Product/Industrial)

MCS Group is recruiting a Product Design Engineer/ Industrial Design Engineer for our innovative manufacturing business.

Are you ready to take your design career to the next level? Our client, a leading, forward-thinking company is looking for a Design Engineer (Product/Industrial) to join its dynamic, collaborative and multidisciplinary R&D team based in Co. Antrim.

In this role you will contribute to the full product development life cycle, from concept through to manufacturing. As the design engineer you will work cross functionally with engineers, suppliers, and other departments. This rewarding role requires a mix of creativity, technical capability, and strong project management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop design plans based on project scopes and inputs
• Deliver design projects on time and within budget
• Support prototyping and testing activities
• Create detailed technical documentation
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards
• Collaborate across departments and external partners

The successful candidate will have:

• A relevant engineering degree with strong work related experience gained in a product design/design engineering role
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (plastics and metals)
• Proficient in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
• Excellent planning, problem-solving, and organisational skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
