Configuration Manager (Engineering Change/Control)

So, what is a Configuration Manager? And what will you do?

The primary responsibility of the Engineering Configuration Manager will be to provide day-to-day support across multiple projects , where you will be required to follow Configuration Management processes, procedures and standards using Microsoft Office tools and Configuration Management tools.

You will:

• Create / Update project Configuration Management Plans
• Administer CM processes on projects
• Follow CM and change management procedures and checking that engineering staff have complied with these procedures
• Produce Configuration Status Reports
• Interface with Document Services and Project Issuing Office
• Participate in the phase reviews (PDR, CDR, etc) and in configuration audits (FCA and PCA)

The successful candidate:

• Experience gained in a similar or equivalent role. Candidates with experience in engineering change, configuration, control or product Lifecycle management would be of particular interest.
• Experience using CM tools (e.g. Windchill PLM, SAP Teamcenter, etc)
• Experience in the use of Configuration Management processes and principles
• Experience of working in a small team and managing stakeholders
• An appreciation of the full development project life cycle
• Strong PC based tools skills including Microsoft Office
• Ability to produce work output on time and to schedule, along with strong attention to detail with a logical methodology of working, and the ability to produce structured documentation and reports.
• Must be a team worker with good interpersonal skills
