Cardiac Physiologist- Band 7

We're recruiting on behalf of Belfast Health and Social Care Trust to recruit a Cardiac Physiologist.

This is a great opportunity to join the trust, where the post holder will be an enthusiastic, motivated physiologist working in the Cardiac Device Review Team.

The role:

• Lead on cardiac device management, including in-person and remote follow-up of ICDs, pacemakers, and ILRs across all manufacturers.

• Perform complex device checks, troubleshooting, and reprogramming, providing expert interpretation and reporting.

• Respond autonomously to device-related clinical emergencies and technical challenges, ensuring patient safety at all times.

• Contribute to service development in cardiac rhythm management, including policy drafting, audit participation, and stock/equipment oversight.

• Provide specialist training and mentorship to physiologists, students, and medical staff in device management and arrhythmia care.

• Support service delivery through flexible working patterns (extended hours, seven-day cover, and cross-site duties where required).

• Maintain and develop skills in specialist echocardiography procedures (TTE, TOE, stress and contrast echo) to support multidisciplinary care.

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential:

• Previous experience in a Band 7 Cardiac role.

• Accredited with BHRS, IBRHE or equivalent.

• Hold a valid drivers license.
