Business Development Manager - Licensed Trade (Alcohol Sector)

Location: Northern Ireland

MCS Group is delighted to be working alongside a rapidly growing and innovative drinks company to recruit an experience Business Development Manager to join the Licensed Wholesale team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in the alcohol industry to become part of a forward-thinking business that offers real career progression.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for driving growth and expanding the drinks portfolio across both on-trade and off-trade channels in a designated Northern Ireland territory. Your focus will be on developing key relationships, increasing market share, and delivering strong commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive profitable sales growth in line with company targets across both on-trade and off-trade sectors.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with existing clients while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Focus on expanding the wine portfolio, increasing visibility and on-trade listings across your territory.
  • Deliver quarterly sales and margin targets through effective territory management.
  • Implement marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and new product launches.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including logistics, trading, marketing, and telesales to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Ensure adherence to company credit control policies and procedures.

About You

  • 2-3 years' field-based sales experience in a proactive role, preferably within the licensed trade or alcohol sector.
  • Proven ability to grow sales and consistently exceed targets.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Strong relationship-building and networking ability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
