The successful Business Development Manager will be ambitious, target-driven, and skilled in both nurturing existing relationships and building new business pipelines.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Several years of business development/commercial experience in cloud/software/AI industry
  • Track record of working independently, demonstrating hunger, initiative, and the ability to take ownership.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Azure ecosystem as a core focus, secondary understanding of AWS and Google Cloud.
  • Ability to take leads (generated via marketing) and progress them through full sales cycle to closure.
  • Willingness and capability to create, nurture, and close warm leads as well as self-generate new business if required.
  • Preferably Belfast based or able to be physically present for hybrid working here.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Manage and convert a warm pipeline of high-value opportunities (e.g. global enterprise and government accounts).
  • Take full ownership of the B2B sales cycle for Azure, AWS, and Google Cloudbased AI solutions, targeting enterprise and public sector clients.
  • Drive new business development through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship-building across key industry sectors.
  • Lead customer engagements from initial contact to close, identifying opportunities to upsell and expand partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to shape the company's commercial strategy and help build the future sales function.
  • Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to raise brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting to support revenue targets and growth objectives.
