Bookkeeper - Temporary - East Belfast

MCS Group is delighted to be assisting a key client source a full time temporary Bookkeeper.

Immediate need.

East Belfast location - role based fully onsite.

The role:

This is a key role within the accounts team reporting to the Financial Controller.

Key responsibilities include:

• Management Accounts to Trial Balance across multiple Group Companies
• Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Update cash flow information
• Produce Monthly VAT Returns.
• Weekly/Monthly Payroll
• HR Administration & record keeping
• VAT, Payroll & CIS
• Produce CIS Monthly Returns.
• Bank Payments and Credit Control
• Liaising with Banks around drawdown requests.
• Support preparation of financial accounts.
• Weekly and monthly financial KPI reporting.
• Managing sales and purchase ledger activities.
• Handling invoices.
• Conducting bank & credit card reconciliations.
• Assisting with month-end procedures.
• Office Contracts management.
• Liaison with IT and utility providers
• General administrative tasks & Relevant ad hoc duties as required.

As the Book-Keeper you will have the following characteristics;

• Over 2 years recent experience within a Bookkeeping/Office Manager role
• Preferably IATI Qualified/ Part-Qualified Accountant or operating at this level
• Experience within engineering or construction would be beneficial
• Experience in dealing with sub-contractors & CIS reporting (desirable)
• Experience in accounts packages (preferably Xero)
• Excellent team player
• Excellent administration & organisational skills
• Strong IT skills
• Ability to multitask, manage deadlines and workload
