Assistant Accountant

The role:

• Support Financial Processes: Assist with reporting, budgeting, capital accounting, treasury, and grants.
• Ensure Compliance: Support audits and maintain adherence to regulations and policies.
• Analyse Data: Conduct financial analysis to aid forecasting and decision-making.
• Engage Stakeholders: Collaborate with internal and external partners on financial matters.
• Drive Improvements: Identify and support process and efficiency improvements.
• Support Team: Guide junior staff and contribute to team development.
• Maintain Standards: Uphold confidentiality, GDPR, and personal performance targets.

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential:

• AAT or IATI qualified or part qualified in a professional accountancy body.
• Experience working in a finance team or as part of an audit practise.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles, regulations and standards.
