AI Solutions Architect

MCS Group is working exclusively with a high-growth product-focused technology company who are scaling their Northern Ireland operation in their search for an AI Solutions Architect, and we're thrilled to be bringing this truly unique role to the local market. The company has around 300 employees globally and had opened up their NI operation last year. Reporting to their Principal Data Scientist, the AI Solutions Architect will play a key role in how Artificial Intelligence is being implemented and embedded across their suite of products.

This is the perfect opportunity for an AI or ML engineer or Data Scientist who doesn't see themselves 'in the weeds' of building models day-to-day. While you'll have a highly technical background, this role will give you brilliant exposure to customers, to project management and to designing AI systems and technology in a high-growth business.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you'll work at the intersection of AI integration, product development, and customer engagement. You'll collaborate with leading AI providers, internal engineering teams, and customers to deliver real-world, AI-driven features that transform industries and ultimately keep people safe.

What you'll be doing

• Lead AI Integration: The AI Solution Architect will work with third-party AI providers, managing the relationship to bring cutting-edge AI features into our client's platform.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: You'll partner with product managers, software engineers, and hardware teams to define requirements, plans, and system constraints.
• Customer-Facing Expertise: You'll act as a trusted technical resource, explaining how AI features work and supporting customers with insights and education.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Investigate AI performance issues, create data-driven feedback loops, and guide improvements in model performance.
• Translate Requirements into Action: Turn product needs into clear technical deliverables and ensure alignment between AI partners and internal teams.
• Monitor & Enhance: Support ongoing evaluation of AI features in production, using real-world data to refine and optimise performance.

What we're looking for

• You'll have commercial experience in AI/ML applications, computer vision, or embedded systems.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML vendors or third-party APIs/models.
• Ideally you'll have familiarity with video analytics or edge AI,
• Strong understanding of the AI lifecycle - from data to deployment.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with confidence in customer-facing interactions.
• Proficiency with Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or OpenCV.
• Ability to thrive independently in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

Salary

• Up to £70,000 with a competitive package.
