Accountant

MCS Group are delighted to be working with a Public Sector organisation based in Enniskillen in their search for an accountant to join their busy team.

The Role:

• Management Reporting and Budget Control: Produce management reports, conduct variance analysis, and maintain budget control through regular digital technology-based communication with budget holders.

• Annual Accounts and Asset Management: Assist in preparing draft Annual Accounts, maintaining the Fixed Asset Register, and updating valuations for Operational Heritage Assets.

• Systems and Process Enhancement: Contribute to the implementation and training of enhanced financial systems and processes, establish KPIs, and update procedures for improved efficiency.

• Business Case and Claims Management: Support business case preparation and manage claims for third-party funding by coordinating and submitting necessary paperwork.

• Compliance and Internal Control: Ensure financial policies are up to date, support internal control systems to prevent fraud and corruption, and provide required reports and financial information to stakeholders.

The Person:

• Either a Qualified Accountant with 2 years experience.

OR

• A Part-Qualified Accountant with 3 years experience.
• Experience in the preparation of both management and year end accounts, preparing for audits, using a computerised accounts package.
• Experience supervising staff.
• Experience analysing Data.
