MCS Group is delighted to partner with a prestigious organisation in the rail and infrastructure sector to recruit a Site Engineer (Capital Investments). This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and experienced engineer to join a high profile team responsible for the successful delivery of major capital projects across Dublin.
The Role:
As a Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the supervision and delivery of high-value infrastructure and railway system projects. Reporting to the Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager, you'll be responsible for project site controls, reporting, and supporting the smooth implementation of civil and rail-related works.
What You'll Do:
- Provide on-site supervision and support to ensure project success
- Manage project governance, assurance and compliance
- Support programme progress reviews and reporting
- Assist in the development of project templates and guidelines
- Advise on industry standards, regulations, and safety legislation
- Lead sub-projects within major infrastructure programmes
- Monitor contractor performance, qualifications, and compliance
- Contribute to audits, quality control, and financial oversight
The successful candidate:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum of 2 years' site supervision and project engineering experience in construction or rail
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety in construction/rail environments
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work night shifts and occasional weekends
- Full, clean driver's license
It would be highly desirable if you have:
- Valid PTS and Safe Pass
- Experience in railway construction
- Knowledge of Project and Contract Management
- Member of a recognised professional body (Engineers Ireland, ICE, etc.)
