MCS Group is delighted to partner with a prestigious organisation in the rail and infrastructure sector to recruit a Site Engineer (Capital Investments). This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and experienced engineer to join a high profile team responsible for the successful delivery of major capital projects across Dublin.

The Role:

As a Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the supervision and delivery of high-value infrastructure and railway system projects. Reporting to the Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager, you'll be responsible for project site controls, reporting, and supporting the smooth implementation of civil and rail-related works.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide on-site supervision and support to ensure project success
  • Manage project governance, assurance and compliance
  • Support programme progress reviews and reporting
  • Assist in the development of project templates and guidelines
  • Advise on industry standards, regulations, and safety legislation
  • Lead sub-projects within major infrastructure programmes
  • Monitor contractor performance, qualifications, and compliance
  • Contribute to audits, quality control, and financial oversight

The successful candidate:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years' site supervision and project engineering experience in construction or rail
  • Solid understanding of Health & Safety in construction/rail environments
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work night shifts and occasional weekends
  • Full, clean driver's license

It would be highly desirable if you have:

  • Valid PTS and Safe Pass
  • Experience in railway construction
  • Knowledge of Project and Contract Management
  • Member of a recognised professional body (Engineers Ireland, ICE, etc.)
