IT Support Engineer

MCS Group is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join a rapidly expanding Irish business with operations across Ireland in a newly created role within the organisation. Established for over 30 years and with over 300 staff in Ireland, they are renowned for providing great service and value to their customers. The IT Support Engineer will join at an exciting time and have responsibility for supporting and maintaining a wide array of IT systems and technologies - acting as an integral part of the business. This is the perfect role for a Technical Support Engineer who is seeking to gain exposure to a range of technologies and duties in a thriving, growing business and ultimately suit an IT professional with aspirations for moving into IT Management in the future!

Please note, this is a fully on-site role based in County Meath and will require the successful IT Support Analyst to hold a full drivers licence and have access to their own vehicle.

The Role

The IT support engineer will act as the first point of contact for all IT issues within the business.

You'll have responsibility for all IT systems and applications along with IT hardware - ensuring they are operational and in peak condition.

Working closely with the Director of the business, you'll have the chance to play a key role in IT projects - implementing new systems and applications over time.

You'll build close relationships with the user base and provide desk-side support day-to-day to ensure the smooth running of information technology throughout the organisation.

The Person

You'll have some commercial experience in IT support within a commercial setting (ideally within a small-medium sized company or a Managed service provider).

You'll have demonstrable experience in supporting active directory, Office 365 and have some exposure to cloud and virtualisation technologies.

You'll back yourself - if you don't know something, you'll be the type of person that will go and do your own research to learn and figure it out yourself.

You're comfortable working on-site, working directly with users and have access to a vehicle and full driving licence.

Salary

€30-40,000 depending on experience. Free parking, mileage allowance and employee assistance programme.
