Head of People - Greater Belfast
MCS Group is absolutely thrilled to be partnering with a well-established, private sector client based in the Greater Belfast area, who currently require a highly experienced Head of People on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving organisational change to meet future business requirements, as well as driving the cultural agenda effectively within a function, getting heavily involved in designing and implementing key HR processes and procedures

The role
The successful Head of People will be commercially minded, interacting on a regular basis with various key internal stakeholders at all levels, ensuring the HR service they provide genuinely adds value to the business. As the business looks ahead, the Head of People will be incredibly important in the delivery of organisational change initiatives, driving a positive company culture across a range of teams.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of People will be responsible for the overall HR Generalist remit, providing advice and guidance across a range of HR responsibilities, including performance management, employee relations, absence management, recruitment and disciplinaries.
Vision and values are at the centre of this organisation, and they are committed to driving the overall company cultural, alongside day-to-day HR duties. The successful Head of People will support senior stakeholders at driving organisational change to meet future business needs, as well as supporting on succession planning, to ensure they are developing their best talent.
Employee engagement is high on the company agenda, with the Head of People supporting on various initiatives to enhance employment engagement, acting as a true ambassador for the company values. The successful candidate will be working at a strategic level, guiding the senior leadership lead to achieve long term success, ultimately establishing the organisation as an employer of choice.

The successful candidate
To apply for this outstanding Head of People opportunity, it is essential you possess the following:
- 6+ years' experience working at HR Business Partner / Manager level or above
- Experience of leading an HR department
- Ability to be both stragetic and operational
- Experience working in a complex environment
- A proven track record of driving organisation change to meet future business needs
- Commercially aware, with the ability to drive culture agenda effectively
- Experience of leading and delivery HR projects linked to employer branding, retention, engagement, and talent development
- Strong stakeholder management skills, at a senior level
- Degree educated and CIPD qualified
- Proven track record of working in a business partner capacity to deliver commercial results
