MCS Group has been exclusively retained to recruit a Marketing Manager on behalf of an educational advisory and resource company passionate about meeting the needs of children especially those who need additional support.

Established since 2007, Learning SPACE (Special Products Aiding Child Education) operates throughout the UK and Ireland with Education Authorities, Health Trusts and a number of industry related organisations such as Family Fund, National Autistic Society and Foster NI, making resources and supporting information easily accessible to parents and professionals so they can provide children with the support they need.

Due to sustained growth, Learning SPACE is now well positioned to provide support on a greater scale throughout the UK and Ireland and requires the expertise of a Marketing Professional to create, develop and implement a range of marketing strategies which will accommodate the continued growth of the business.

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving brand awareness and engagement with key audiences through a combination of traditional and digital marketing activity.

Some of the key duties and areas of responsibility will include;

  • Create and deploy successful marketing campaigns that help drive brand awareness and relevant engagement, taking ownership from ideation to execution.
  • Create and manage the deployment of branded marketing materials across all traditional and digital channels including in-store, events, website and social media channels.
  • Drive awareness through the development and delivery of creative content including editorials, press releases, advertisements, newsletters, blogs and vlogs promoting current activities, promotions, news, offers and more.
  • Design and implement effective social media plans (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, linkedin, Pinterest).
  • Develop schedule of content delivery with reference to product launches, events, seasonality and other relevant stimulants.
  • Work closely with procurement and web admin team in order to keep up to date with the latest products that are coming in stock, when they will go live online and how/when promotions will be carried out.
  • Experiment with a variety of organic and paid acquisition activities including content creation, content curation and pay per click campaigns
  • Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess progress against organisational objectives.
  • Build strategic relationships and partnerships with key industry players, agencies, schools, education authorities and vendors and maximise collaborative marketing opportunities.

Learning SPACE is looking for a creative, passionate and digitally savvy marketing professional who can embrace the ethos of the organisation and help drive marketing communications in line with the overall strategic objectives. Some of the core criteria includes...

  • Proven experience in delivering creative marketing campaigns, both digital and traditional, that engage, educate and motivate target audiences.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a love for great copy, an adaptable writing style and a proven track record of delivering compelling content.
  • Creative marketing experience with a strong sense of aesthetics and proven capability of delivering compelling content with experience using tools such as Canva, Photoshop and/or Indesign.
  • Solid knowledge and experience of best practices in online marketing using website analytics tools such as Google Analytics, WebTrends or similar.
  • Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets

The role is suited to a Marketing Executive seeking to take a step up, taking more ownership and responsibility. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary and be afforded a good level of flexibility in terms of location and start/finish times but does require some level of flexibility for occasional events that may be outside core office hours.
