MCS Group are proud to be tasked by TP ICAP to hire a Senior QA Engineer. TP ICAP are one of the world's leading interdealer brokers. Primarily operating as an intermediary in the wholesale financial and energy sectors, TP ICAP facilitates the trading activities of its clients, in particular commercial and investment banks. Product areas include: Fixed Income Securities and their derivatives, Interest Rate Derivatives, Treasury products, Equities and Energy and Commodities.

Role responsibilities

• Work closely with your team (and under the guidance of the TAs), to enable them to provide estimates
• Work to identify the test cases and associated tasks for user stories and, or use cases as part of the planning phase of an iteration
• Participate actively in the team
• Work closely with developers to understand the impact of, and testing required to confirm, changes
• Write, capture, and execute test cases as part of user story completion (either manual or automated as appropriate)
• Drive the importance of quality throughout the entire SDLC within the company
• Be looking for, and recognise key automation opportunities
• Effectively communicate within the team
• Ensure automation code is well commented and constructed, and suitable for review

Essential criteria

Education/Professional Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent industry experience

Technical Competencies

• Enterprise system experience
• Experience of analysing user story acceptance criteria to build tests
• Experience of co-ordinating testing activities

Desirable criteria

• Relevant testing qualifications such as: ISTQB BCS Intermediate

Professional Competencies

• Experience of reporting on test execution progress and analysing findings
• Knowledge of Financial Markets, Systems and Over the Counter (OTC) products
• Previous Financial sector experience

Technical Competencies

• Experience working in Agile teams
• Automation tools and practises in use such as:
• BDD automation using such as: SpecFlow, Cucumber-JVM, and
• Loadrunner and/or JMeter for performance testing
• UI automation using tools such as: Selenium webdriver, Test Complete, and QTP
