Position Summary:

As the Lead/Principal DevOps Engineer, you will occupy a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing DevOps practices, processes, and teams. Your close collaboration with cross-functional units will ensure the seamless and efficient lifecycle of software development, deployment, and operations. This hybrid role, situated in Galway, Ireland, offers the flexibility of remote work.

• Spearhead the DevOps team in advancing a scalable and dependable platform.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to steer the company's strategic course.
• Formulate a robust documentation strategy to ensure procedural and process compliance.
• Strategically determine tool and technology adoption in alignment with business imperatives.
• Leverage automation, containerization, and orchestration tools to elevate DevOps operations.
• Institute security best practices, particularly within cloud environments, to safeguard platform security and sustainability.
• Foster, mentor, and lead a team of DevOps engineers, nurturing a culture of collaboration, innovation, and ongoing enhancement.
• Promote forward-thinking approaches, remaining at the vanguard of state-of-the-art tools and technologies.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 8 years of practical experience in software development, with a substantial DevOps focus.
• A solid grounding in designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code.
• At least 2 years of involvement in leadership or principal roles within Cloud DevOps.
• Demonstrated leadership aptitude in the realm of software development.
• Profound expertise in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on familiarity with logging and monitoring tools.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
