MCS Group is working with a high-growth software firm in Cork in their search for an experienced PHP Developer. The Senior Developer will join a small, but growing development team working on a SaaS product being used globally by some of the biggest companies and brands globally. This is perfect opportunity for an experienced software engineer with PHP (and ideally Laravel) experience to join a product focused company pushing the boundaries in terms of artificial intelligence and new tools and technologies.

This is a hybrid position based in Cork, offering an experienced software engineer great career progression - think moving into a tech lead role and growing a team locally!

The Role

The Senior PHP Developer will act an integral part of a small, but growing development team.

You'll work on exciting new features with a focus on AI and see first hand how these are benefiting the customers of some of the world's biggest brands and organisations.

You'll play a key role in modernisation (reducing technical debt, implementing new technologies & mentoring junior team members)

The Person

You'll be an accomplished Senior Developer with considerable experience in PHP (ideally with exposure to Laravel framework)

Front-end experience - ideally with React, but other JavaScript frameworks will be considered (Angular, Vue.js, Typescript).

You'll be comfortable with the challenge of reducing technical debt along with developing exciting new features.

You'll be comfortable with working in (or commuting to Cork) - 3 days one week, 2 days the next.
