Opportunity for an experienced Quality engineer to move into an SDET role - Belfast hybrid working

MCS Group are proud to be partnered with a growing company in the data space that are in the market for a Quality automation engineer to play a critical part in maintaining and improving the performance of their market leading products. In this role, the successful candidate will benefit from exposure to a range of cloud technologies including AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone that has a strong track background of building or maintaining automation frameworks that has an inquisitive mindset and ability to find bugs. You will get support and mentorship from a talented team which will give you hands on experience in being able to build automation frameworks from scratch and get continued career development.

You will be joining a top employer in the local market who have an established product offering and client base who work with the latest technologies and encourage professional growth.

What you will be doing

• Deliver test automation solutions for the product
• Play an active part in high-level architectural decisions
• Create test frameworks as part of the CI/CD pipeline
• Enjoy autonomy and ownership when it comes to decision-making and overall direction
• Work alongside development team to identify & track bugs
• Work on new releases

In order to be successful

• Ideally have experience in a similar role as an automation tester with java experience
• Highly desirable you have experience in building automation frameworks from scratch
• Strong experience of the SDLC
• Ideally have exposure to linux environment
