MCS Group is looking for a Data Scientist for a genuinely bleeding-edge project in Belfast. This Data Scientist will gain enviable exposure to a market disruptor within the energy sector. The Details

You will be getting involved in the next-generation development of this client's core platform, a pioneering product in the GreenTech Sector.

You will spend 3 days per week in their office in Belfast City Centre, surrounded by a team of exceptionally talented people.

This is the perfect contract for a Data Scientist who enjoys maths and numbers, who excels at problem-solving, and who has proven experience in developing software, and algorithms and building/maintaining reliable Machine Learning systems and models.

The role is initially for 6 months, and is looking for someone to start in the next few weeks so ideally you would have either a short notice period, or be rolling off your current contract.

The Person

This role requires 4+ years of experience working within Data Science and with Machine Learning models.

You will have commercial experience working with Python, and be competent in building applications with Python.

Ideally, you will have worked within the energy sector previously or have an interest in the energy markets, but this is just a nice-to-have, and is not essential.

You must be available for hybrid working in Belfast City Centre.

The Rate: Up to £400 per day (negotiable)
Duration: 6 months initially
