Portfolio Manager - Insurance

MCS is delighted to be recruiting for one of Northern Ireland's most successful Insurance Brokerages, who are expanding their new business and renewals function by adding a Portfolio Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business at a time of exciting growth. Existing understanding of various insurance products is essential.

This is a brand new, full-time permanent opportunity which can be based out of any of the firm's offices across Belfast, Co. Tyrone, Co. Derry/Londonderry, Co. Armagh and Co. Down.

Your Package

• Package of £50,000-£70,000 based on skills and experience

The Company

This company has been at the heart of Northern Irelands insurance needs, for personal, business and agricultural clients for over three decades, where they have grown from strength to strength! With further growth in the company, they are now delighted to be expanding their team by adding a skilled Portfolio Manager.

What your day would look like

• Achieving against quarterly and annual new business and renewal targets - alongside cross-selling / up-selling where specified
• Building and developing an effective prospecting pipeline - NTU, win-backs, referrals, introducers, etc.
• Detailed fact-finding with prospects / clients in aid of identifying all risk requirements and gaps in cover - providing quotations to meet requirements
• Developing deep technical product knowledge and market knowledge
• Building close working relationships with the firm's panel of insurers to ensure they negotiate the best covers for clients

Your skills

• Several years' experience within a similar role in insurance (Such as Commercial Accounts Manager or similar)
• Demonstrable experience of achieving new business targets and renewal retention targets
• Understanding of business classes - Property & Business Interruption, Liabilities, Transit & more
• Competency in ensuring all relevant FCA regulations are adhered to regarding client management
• Skilled in aged debt reports and pipelining prospects
