Paraplanner (12 Month FTC)

MCS is partnering with a UK-based Wealth Management firm which have a strong presence in NI, to recruit for a skilled Paraplanner for their Belfast office who can be based anywhere in NI.

This brand-new role is an initial 12-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) for a qualified Lvl 4 Paraplanner with heavy focus on report-writing.

Your Package

• Package of £45,000-£55,000 (pro-rata)
• Pension
• 35-hour week, 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday
• 33 days total holiday allowance (including stat days)

What your day would look like

• Complex suitability report-writing including drawdown, tax free cash and inheritance tax advice
• Working closely with the Managing Director for technical meeting preparation and fund analysis
• Developing and managing effective systems, processes and procedures to continuously improve Practice efficiency
• Support the workflow of paraplanners, to ensure all cases are actioned within specific timeframes
• Technical support and training to new/junior employees, as well as ongoing support to ensure high accuracy and attention to detail

Your skills

• 5+ years' experience in a Paraplanning role within IFA or Investment Management
• Lvl 4 qualification is essential
• Demonstrably skilled and capable in varied report-writing
• DFM (Discretionary Fund Management) or Investment Management business knowledge is desirable but not essential
• Tools / Systems knowledge in the following would be advantageous: FE Analytics, Intelligent Office, Voyant or similar
