Mechanical Mainteance Engineer

MCS Group is proud to be working with a leading independent manufacturing company, who are looking for Mechanical Maintenance Engineers to join their successful team in County Antrim.

As a mechanical maintenance engineer, you will maintain machinery and ensure operational excellence.

Main Responsibilities:

Essential Requirements

• Ensure company Health and Safety, and maintain compliance with statutory regulations
• Managing repairs and breakdowns whilst avoiding downtime and ensuring minimal disruption
• Fault finding and continuous improvement site-wide focusing on critical plant and addressing the root cause of failures.
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance
• Use predictive maintenance techniques to support a LEAN manufacturing philosophy
• Maintain equipment maintenance records, ensuring accurate allocation to work hours
• Liaise with equipment suppliers as necessary about equipment installation, reliability, and fault diagnosis issues.

Essential Criteria

• Completed a recognised apprenticeship as a mechanical or mechatronic engineer, preferably to HNC or equivalent level
• Minimum of 1 year post-apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in the maintenance of mechanical systems: pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, vacuum systems, mechanical drives/ gearboxes.
