Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician looking for a new challenge? MCS Group are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run food business based in Drogheda that is seeking a dedicated professional to join their team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced food production environment. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for carrying out both preventative and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical faults, and ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

🔧 Provide technical support for machine maintenance, installations, and modifications
⚙️ Respond to breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions
🔌 Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults and carry out preventative maintenance
🏭 Support plant facilities, including compressed air, refrigeration, and steam systems
📋 Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure spare parts availability
👷‍♂️ Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with food safety regulations

What We're Looking For:

✔️ Mechanical Engineering qualifications (HNC or above)
✔️ Experience in a similar maintenance role, ideally within the food or FMCG industry (3-5 years ideally)
✔️ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
✔️ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✔️ Good communication and time management skills
✔️ Computer literacy and ability to maintain accurate documentation
