MCS Group are looking for a Senior IT Technician to join a Belfast based educational institution! This IT Systems Administrator will aid the college in the administration and maintenance of their existing IT systems. This is a great opportunity for an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join a fantastic client and play a part in the development of their IT facilities.

The Role

• Administration and maintenance of IT equipment on site.
• Installation, repair and set up of external systems such as CCTV, telephone systems etc.
• Troubleshooting software and network issues when they arise.
• Preparation / installation of audio-visual technology for college events.
• Liaising with 3^rd parties when necessary.
• Supervision of IT technicians.

The Person

• One year's experience working in an IT environment with IT support is essential.
• Hold a recognised computer or network qualification at NVQ Lever 4 or equivalent experience
• GCSEs in Maths and English (minimum grade C), or equivalent
• Experience in Network management and managing and interpreting data.
• Experience of installing and configuring computer hardware and software and managing projects.
• Keen independent learner who can problem solve efficiently.
• Previous experience within a management position would be highly desirable.

Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 (Please note this is an hourly paid temporary position).
Duration: Immediate start on a six month temporary contract (with possible extension)
Location: Belfast.
