IT Sytems Officer

MCS Group are delighted to be working with a large scale Public Sector Organisation in their search for an experienced IT Systems Officer on a temporary basis.

The Role:

• Setup, Maintenance and Support of all ICT hardware.
• Support of all ICT Networks to include Wi-Fi networks.
• Administration and Support of Microsoft Entra ID.
• Assist the IT team with daily IT housekeeping duties.
• Management of user workstation fleet; laptops, desktop PCs, peripherals and communications systems hardware.
• Work with the IT Manager, IT Security Officer and the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in partnership on all areas related to Cyber Security.
• Provide assistance to the IT Security Officer with security monitoring tasks and measures to ensure the IT Estate is sufficiently protected.

The Person:

• Working within a Microsoft Hybrid environment (on-prem and cloud)
• Working with a Microsoft Windows Server 2016 - 2022 IT Estate
• Working with Vulnerability and Patch Management Software (e.g. Qualys)
• Firewall administration experience (Palo-Alto preferably)
• Experience of working with mobile device management (MDM) software preferably Intune.
• Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
