IT Systems Administrator

MCS Group is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join their client, a thriving and well-established organisation with locations across Ireland who support and advise some of the biggest, most important sectors across the country.

With multiple projects in the pipeline, this is a fantastic opportunity for a Sys Admin with experience in Microsoft Technologies to join a successful team in a newly created position.

The Role

• The Sys Admin will dive in with the Infrastructure team to ensure stable and efficient systems across Networks, Servers and the Cloud.
• You'll work closely with internal stakeholders providing amazing service and support, ensuring they can work effectively with the systems in place.
• You'll act as a Project Manager when required during implementations and upgrades.

The Person (Essentials)

• You'll have at least 5 years' experience in Systems Administration in an enterprise environment.
• You'll have experience managing the systems admin of physical and virtual servers, Windows systems, VMWare and cloud technologies (Azure, 365)
• You'll be hold a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
• You'll hold a current valid driving licence in Ireland.
• You'll have the right to work in Ireland (EU Citizen/Stamp 4 Visa)
• Happy to work in a hybrid model with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote working per week.

The Person (Nice to Have)

• You'll hold certifications in Microsoft/VMWare/Cisco technologies
• Networking knowledge/experience and certifications e.g CCNA
• ITIL Certification
• PRINCE2 PM certification
• Public sector vendor management/procurement experience
  

Salary
Starting salary is €51,137 with a leading benefits package including pension and increased holidays.
