IT Security Specialist

MCS Group is seeking a Senior IT Security Specialist to join a Northern Ireland-based organisation that provides complex solutions to various public and private sector clients. In this role, you will advise across their security applications, and contribute to their overall security stance ensuring they are protected against intrusion using all of your security operations knowledge. You will also help them maintain their ISO27001 accreditation.

The role

• Use your SEIM, and security operations experience, to advise on their current security applications
• Assess their current procedures and policies in response to a cyber attack
• Use your knowledge of firewalls, SEIM tools and security operations knowledge, to protect their IT estate
• Work alongside their current InfoSec manager to help them maintain their ISO27001
• Update and maintain their risk register

Needed to succeed

• Experience working with SEIM and vulnerability management tools, from firewalls, and endpoint management tools, to anti-virus applications
• The willingness to apply your cyber security experience to a wider area across cyber security to include their compliance to ISO27001
