MCS Group is delighted to be assisting a key client based in Ballynahinch, Co. Down source an interim Financial Controller.

MAT Cover. Role based fully onsite. Fulltime interim role.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director as the Financial Controller you must have experience in the preparation of monthly management accounts, preparing for financial audits and experience in maintenance of integrated computerised management information systems.

The business activities include manufacturing & stock management, sales & distribution, retail and food & beverage.

Key Duties:

To prepare monthly management accounts

To maintain and develop the management information system.

Prepare for Financial Audit

Processing of weekly & monthly payroll

Maintenance and review of financial ledgers

Assistance with management of cash flow and reconciliation of bank accounts and cash books

Assist in budgeting/forecasting and variance reporting

Credit control management.

To prepare grant claims & statistical returns

To record and maintain research & development and training programmes

Review and analysis of production information

Completion of VAT & intrastat returns

Essential criteria

3 years + experience in a finance department

Preparation of monthly management accounts

Cost accounting

Maintenance of integrated computerised management information systems

Previous experience in manufacturing or FMCG is desirable

Experience of payroll software is desirable

Experience with INI and other government bodies is desirable Qualifications

Qualified/part qualified member of ICAI, ICAEW, CIMA or other major CCAB Job Related Skills & Knowledge

Good excel and spreadsheet and database skills

Report writing skills

Attention to detail

Ability to work under pressure
