MCS Group is delighted to be partnering up with a forward thinking software and IT consultancy as they look to add an Infrastructure Project Engineer to their growing team.

What's the role?

• Overseeing the daily management of data centers and cloud environments, including patching, backup management, and proactive maintenance.
• Monitoring and managing capacity, availability, and performance for various application environments.
• Provisioning virtual machines and cloud resources efficiently.
• Creating an advanced Event Management framework with automated alerts and remediation procedures.
• Developing a service catalogue for hosting services and resource provisioning.
• Collaborating with other teams to explore and implement orchestration opportunities.
• Contributing to the knowledge base with operational procedures, run books, and instructional materials.
• Providing support, guidance, and mentorship to fellow team members on technical and service operations best practices.
• Being available for on-call support on a 24/7 basis when required.

Your background and experience:

• Experience of planning, design and implementation of infrastructure for multiple clients.
• Working knowledge with Azure at a high level.
• Experience with virtualisation tools, preferably VMware.
• Powershell scripting knowledge would be advantageous.
