Job Description

MCS Group is excited to be partnering with an innovative technology driven Capital Markets organisation based in the heart of Dublin. With offices across the world, we are on the lookout for an ambitious Technical Support Engineer who is eager to contribute within the financial services industry. You will not only be collaborating and support internal teams but support the global user base.

Tech/experience required for the next Technical Support Engineer:

  • Minimum of 4 years commercial experience working in a similar role.
  • Technical expertise across Active Directory, JAMF, Intune, Windows, Azure & O365.
  • The ability to successfully manage a helpdesk in an organised and efficient manner.
  • Strong ticketing system experience either using Jira or a similar system.
  • Exposure to virtual desktops.
  • Strong troubleshooting experience.
  • Strong communication and good inbound call experience.
  • The ability to use own initiative.
  • Full right to work in Ireland, Northern Ireland and United Kingdom due to occasional travel requirements.

Desirable tech/ experience needed for the next Technical Support Engineer:

  • Be familiar with iOS/Mac Operating System.
  • VPN Technologies.
  • Microsoft Defender, Jira, Team Viewer, RingCentral.
  • Someone who would like to implement their own ideas for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Previous Financial Services experience would be a benefit.

Main duties/ responsibilities for the next Technical Support Engineer:

  • Managing End User Support/Services and working in a global team.
  • Managing Azure Active Directory on prem.
  • Provide Desktop Support.
  • Provide brilliant customer service and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for any I.T processes being implemented.
  • L1/L2 Support for onsite staff.
  • Managing software upgrades.
  • Continuously ensuring security infrastructure is up to the highest standards.
  • Logging faults and incidents for the Service Desk.
  • Monitor ticket que and identifying the root cause analysis.
  • Project based work with User Support.

Salary/ package details for the next Technical Support Engineer:

  • €50-60,000 base salary.
  • 6% matched pension.
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays on top.
