Job Description

HR Business Partner - 9 month fixed-term contract

MCS Group is delighted to be working in partnership with a leading Irish sporting body, as they look to add an HR Business Partner to their team, on a full-time, fixed-term contract basis for 9 months.

The role:

The successful HR Business Partner will develop and deliver the people processes and initiatives to support the achievement of the organisation's strategic vision.

The successful candidate must have hands-on practical experience working within an HR team in the Republic of Ireland.

The main responsibilities:

  • Work with business leaders supporting them to manage & lead their areas.
  • Lead & implement the HR strategic priorities and initiatives.
  • Support, coach & develop managers to build effective teams.
  • Provide guidance, leadership and consultation on all aspects of the employee experience including managing performance.
  • Work with the leadership team & People Managers to identify resourcing, learning & development opportunities to add succession issues, building a healthy talent pipeline.
  • Ensure all people plans and processes are in line with budgets, financial procedures and procurement guidelines, providing a seamless candidate & employee experience.
  • Act as a leader by providing expert advice on all matters about employee relations, organisation design, change management, reward, recruitment and selection.
  • Ensure that appropriate inductions, on-boarding processes and capability development programmes are put in place.

The ideal candidate:

  • 5+ years within an HR function.
  • Degree qualified in HR or a related discipline.
  • CIPD qualified.
  • Previous experience working with employee representatives and/or trade unions.
  • Experience in delivering change programmes and learning and development initiatives.
  • The successful candidate must have hands-on practical experience working within an HR team in the Republic of Ireland.
