Job Description

HR Advisor - Manufacturing Industry - Antrim - 12 Month FTC

MCS Group is thrilled to be working with a large manufacturing organisation, based in the Antrim area, in the recruitment of an HR Advisor, to join their team on a full-time, 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.

The role

Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Advisor will be required to provide support across the full HR function. You will be required to implement and promote HR policies and procedures, contributing towards the development of best practice throughout the company. Key responsibilities include -

  • Managing recruitment, guaranteeing a seamless and effective process from candidate sourcing to job offer and onboarding.
  • Assist the HR Manager and management team in handling employee relations issues such as disciplinary inquiries, grievances, absence management, and welfare concerns.
  • Oversee the departure procedure, ensuring all necessary paperwork and arrangements are organised, and conduct exit interviews.
  • Play a role in shaping and updating new policies and procedures through contributions to their development and revision.
  • Aid in creating and implementing a comprehensive training and development strategy across the company, offering assistance for various development initiatives including apprenticeships, graduate training, internships, and student placements.
  • Take on additional tasks and projects as assigned, leveraging one's knowledge, experience, and skills.

The successful candidate

  • At least 2 years' experience within an HR Generalist position.
  • CIPD Qualification or at least working towards, or a degree in HR or a relative field.
  • A sound knowledge of current employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Experience in managing recruitment, employee relations and training processes.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage time well.
  • Experience in using HR Systems.
