MCS Group is delighted to be working with an established UK company, who have set up a new Manufacturing unit in Portadown and looking to recruit a Health and Safety Manager to lead on H&S on site.

You will;

• Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive health and safety management
  system to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and industry best practice
• Foster a positive safety culture by promoting employee engagement, participation
  and accountability
• Provide guidance, support and coaching to managers and employees
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Engineering and Production, to ensure the safety of manufacturing processes and other site activities
• Monitor and review safety performance, analyse data and trends, and conduct
  regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement
• Facilitate and support the development of robust risk assessments, working
  collaboratively with the team to implement appropriate and effective safety controls
• Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks and training sessions to enhance safety
  awareness and knowledge among team members
• Oversee the investigation of incidents and near misses.

Criteria;

• Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager in a high volume, technical manufacturing setting
• Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate - ideally NEBOSH Diploma qualified.
• Significant experience interfacing with the Health & Safety Executive
• Excellent knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and the ability

Salary will be circa 50-60K depending on experience!
