You will;

• Undertaking health and safety inspections across a wide range of functions, premises, disciplines and activities, including, but not limited to M&E, metering & billing, capital engineering projects, operational contracts and other ancillary service departments / office-based departments;
• Undertaking function / task specific risk assessments with business units and assisting with the ongoing review of assessments and the continued development of risk assessment content, format, processes and related training.

Essential Criteria:

• NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent.
• A minimum of three years' demonstrable experience in a health & safety role within a Construction/ Utility/ Engineering environment.
• Full UK driving license and access to a car.

Desirable Criteria

• Candidates have or are presently working towards a third level qualification in occupational health and safety, such as, the NEBOSH Diploma, or equivalent. It is an expectation of the role that successful applicants will attain the NEBOSH Diploma. Candidates will have three years in which to attain the qualification.
• Experience of supporting the development and maintenance of OHSAS 18001 and / or ISO 45001 H&S management systems.
• Applicants are Chartered members of IOSH or working towards Chartered status.
