Engineering Leadership Role in Premier AdTech Firm
Overview: I am representing a distinguished client in the AdTech sector, renowned for their innovative approach to outdoor advertising. As a company that's redefining the landscape of their industry, they are looking for a visionary Head of Engineering to lead their technical endeavours.
The Opportunity: In this leadership position, you will be at the forefront of orchestrating the engineering team's efforts, balancing in-house talent with external engineering resources. Your role will be instrumental in guiding technological strategies, overseeing the budget, and aligning tech investments with the company's forward-looking vision.
Tools/Technologies: The main technology stack for this role is modern Java, their application is hosted in AWS, on the frontend React and Angular is utilised, and there would also be some elements of Python. It is worth noting that an understanding of object oriented programming is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearheading the development and rollout of large-scale software solutions, especially in the SaaS arena.
- Leading and mentoring engineering teams, championing Agile and Extreme Programming methodologies.
- Striking an optimal balance between procedural efficiency, delivery speed, and delivering tangible business value.
Ideal Candidate:
- Track record of leading successful product development, particularly in mature and emerging products.
- Experience in managing engineering teams, ideally up to 10 members.
- Proficiency in diverse architectural frameworks.
Your Role: Your day-to-day will involve:
- Steering key engineering processes, from planning to execution.
- Collaborating with technical and product teams to ensure flawless product functionality.
- Driving the company's technical strategy in sync with business objectives.
