The Opportunity
The successful Head of HR will be commercially minded, leading and providing strategy on the people function for the entire company, playing a fundamental role in developing the company's culture, training and development and recruitment. The successful candidate will interact on a regular basis with various key internal stakeholders at all levels, ensuring the HR service they provide genuinely adds value to the business.
Supported by an HR Assistant, the Head of HR will liaise with the Executive Board, providing strategic counsel on all people matters. Due to a sustained growth over the past 3 years, there will be a key focus on organisation development and design, supporting key stakeholders across the business to drive change to meet future business needs, creating and embedding a world class company culture, ensuring it is aligned with the company's longer-term vision. This will include championing the development of company values, working in collaboration with the Colleague Voice Group to fully embed the values as part of the company culture.
Lunn's growth plans haven't stopped, with ambitious plans over the next few years, therefore, a huge part of the role will focus on people development across the company, ensuring employees at all levels are equipped to perform at the highest level, ultimately driving company growth. This will include taking the lead on the company's performance management framework, succession planning, talent management, HR information systems, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, training & development, and management development programmes.
Developing a highly attractive employee value proposition will be another incredibly important focus for the Head of HR, ensuring Lunn's are able to attract and retain to absolute best talent available in the market, with Lunn's being an employer of choice and recognised as a leading NI business to work for. The successful candidate will utilise employee feedback and data to do this, ensuring this data is used carefully when creating the best working environment and engaged culture.
The Person:
Essential criteria, applicants must possess:
- Experienced as a strategic Senior HR Manager with several years leadership experience.
- CIPD qualified and Degree qualified in Business, Psychology, or a related field.
- Commercial acumen partnered with attention to the human element.
- Previous experience of supporting businesses through growth, delivering transformational people programmes.
- Excellent knowledge of NI employment legislation and regulations.
- Passion for helping people constantly learn, grow, and develop.
- Collaborative and able to build trust and respect with stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Hands-on experience with HR software and Microsoft 365 suite of programs.
