Head of HR - Manufacturing - County Antrim
MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with an award-winning manufacturing client based in County Antrim, who wishes to appoint a Head of HR to the organisation on a full-time, permanent basis.
The organisation has boasted sustained growth over the past number of years, with ambitious future growth plans, and therefore requires a seasoned HR professional to push their people strategy to the next level.
The role
The successful Head of People will be responsible for the effective delivery of all HR aspects for the business, working in partnership with the management team to support them on any people issues, ensuring excellent service in a consistent manner.
The Head of People will be support by a small team, with scope to develop this team over the next two years due to projected growth. The successful Head of HR will work closely with various internal stakeholders throughout the business to understand current and future requirements recruitment requirements, taking on full responsibility for recruitment, and ensuring talent is pipelined to key areas across the organisation.
The organisation is an SME with a headcount of around 200, therefore a candidate coming from a similar background, with strong experience in management positive transformational change, as well as being in a position where they can shape and develop a people strategy is essential.
The Person
- Strong HR experience in a manufacturing environment is essential
- 5 years experience at HR Business Partner / HR Manager level
- Evidenced experience of building strong collaborative relationships with multiple parties
- Experience of developing successful management development training, ideally within an SME
- Experience of creating and rolling out HR strategies
- Experience of developing a strong employer brand and culture
- Strong talent management experience
- Demonstrable evidence of how you have shaped HR strategy for the success of business
- Effective leadership skills able to handle multiple demands and priorities
- Excellent communication skills, with a skill in recognising importance of timing and method of communication dependent on situation
- Minimum CIPD qualification
