DevOps/Support Engineer (Fintech)

MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting for a DevOps/Support Engineer for our client within the financial services industry.

Our client is a global fintech organisation with offices across the U.K. including Belfast who are going through a period of significant growth in 2025. Due to continued growth and success they have an opportunity for an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join their team in Belfast on a hybrid working basis.

A dynamic FinTech company is seeking both mid-level and senior Support Engineers to contribute to its fast-paced, high-impact environment. This isn't your standard support role-it's a highly technical position focused on building and refining internal automation solutions to optimise operations.

Your Role:

• Design and develop automation tools to enhance support functions
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify inefficiencies and create tailored solutions
• Write and debug scripts using Bash, Python, or similar technologies in a Linux environment
• Troubleshoot infrastructure-related technical challenges
• Collaborate with broader engineering teams to ensure seamless operations

What You'll Need:

• Must be based in Northern Ireland (remote applicants outside NI cannot be considered)
• Minimum 3 years' experience in software development, DevOps, or an automation-driven role (senior opportunities available)
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python
• Solid experience working within Linux-based environments
• Background in support, automation, or DevOps-related roles
• Exposure to financial markets or FinTech is a plus
• Strong analytical mindset with a proactive problem-solving approach
