MCS group are working with the largest local food redistribution organisation in Northern Ireland. This client is dedicated to tackling food waste and hunger in local communities by redistributing surplus food to over 160 charities and community organisations. As our client is expanding their team they are on the market recruit a Food Sourcing Officer.

About the role:

As a Regional Food Sourcing Officer, you will be instrumental in developing regional and local food sourcing. Your role involves engaging with Northern Ireland's food industry and supply chain, in building, and managing relationships with companies to secure sustainable volumes of surplus food, all while working closely with our clients Operations Manager and UK Food Team.

• This role requires you to be the main point of contact for a portfolio of existing food partners.
• Build and strengthen key relationships.
• Presenting to potential clients in the benefits of working with this client.
• Capture feedback from clients on service and the impact of working with this client.
• Organise and lead review meetings with clients to identify new opportunities.
• Feedback to the NI Operations Manager on how to improve existing processes and operations linked to the provision of food to network.

The person

• Experience within the food supply industry or logistics supply chain.
• Proven ability to build cross-functional relationships with a customer service focus.
• Skill in analysing information and data to inform decision-making.
• Team player with the ability to take individual initiative and deliver results.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, adaptable to different stakeholders.
• Proficiency in IT, including the Microsoft Office suite (Excel and Outlook).
• Possession of a full current driving license and access to transportation for job-related travel.
