Finance Manager

The Role will consist of:

• The preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Preparation of statutory financial statements for audit purposes.
• Line management of staff within the finance function.
• Providing support with budget management.
• Management of ledger.
• Developing relationships and promote a positive company ethos throughout the finance team.
• Liaise with auditors.
• Identify areas for improvement and optimisation within the finance function.

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential:

1. Either a professional accountancy qualification plus 1 years post qualification experience in:
• Technical experience around budgeting and forecasting.
• Management Accounts / variance analysis.
• Preparation of statutory financial statements for audit purposes.
• Management of staff.

OR

1. 4 years' experience of finance working across a breadth of areas, such as payments, payroll, income, management accounts and statutory accounts.

1. Demonstrable experience in:

• Working with computerized accounting systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications including advanced competency in Excel.
• Communicating effectively with a proven ability to influence and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Previous line management of staff within a finance function.

Desirable:

• Experience working within a public/third sector organisation.
