Job Description
MCS Group is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a technology based company to recruit for a Finance Assistant on a full time, permanent basis.
This is a brand new team to Belfast. If you would like the opportunity to work closely with the CFO / financial controller and gain great exposure, this will be a fab role to accelerate your career. Reporting to the Financial Controller, your new role will include:
- Responsible for Accounts Receivable activities including invoicing and credit control
- Responsible for Accounts Payables activities including approval process for invoices and preparation of payment runs
- Manage all day to day cash management activities
- Regular bank reconciliations
- Company credit card management
- Prepare Excel spreadsheets to track banking transactions and financial performance
- Assist with month end procedures
- Support Finance led projects and activities
- Support payroll activities
- Support the fixed asset register
- Prioritise emails and respond when necessary
- Assist with preparation of Payroll
- Assist with preparation of VAT returns
- Support external auditors
- Preparation of commission calculations
What do you need to succeed?
- 2 years experience in a similar role
- Experience using a financial software
- Experience of problem solving
- Experience of working within an international finance team is desirable
