Family Solicitor - Senior Role
MCS are delighted to be working alongside a leading firm in Greater Belfast. They are looking for an experienced Family Solicitor who is looking for an opportunity to take the lead in a thriving legal practice. They are seeking a highly skilled professional with a proven track record in family law to join their dedicated team. The Role:
As a Family Solicitor, you will provide expert legal advice and representation on a variety of family law matters. Key responsibilities include:
- Handling complex divorce and financial settlement cases.
- Advising on child custody, contact arrangements, and child protection matters.
- Managing cases involving prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
- Supporting clients in domestic violence and injunction proceedings.
- Representing clients in court and liaising with barristers where necessary.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, providing a compassionate and professional service.
- Mentoring junior staff and contributing to the development of the family law department.
The Person:
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 5+ years PQE in family law and ideally experience in Wills and Probate.
- Proven expertise in managing complex and sensitive cases with discretion and empathy.
- Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise a busy caseload.
- A client-focused approach, delivering a high standard of service.
- Experience in mentoring or supervising junior staff is an advantage.
