Job Description
MCS Group is proud to be working with an innovative Irish born organisation in their search for an Electronic & Embedded Systems Engineer. You will work remotely from the UK or Ireland as they develop their bespoke products to help organisations in the fight against climate change.
(Remote - Ireland/UK)
Responsibilities:
- Lead the hardware development process for a new suite of devices, ensuring accurate and reliable insights into fuel consumption.
- Manage the full development cycle, including design, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing.
- Collaborate with firmware engineers to develop embedded software for data collection from sensors and transmission to cloud storage.
- Assist in the field integration of new devices, working with engineers to improve installation and commissioning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in electronic engineering or a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering projects from concept to production.
- Proficiency in designing and building electronic devices, with a solid understanding of power systems, circuit theory, PCB design, and device testing.
- Experience in embedded device programming using embedded C is preferred.
- Knowledge of RF circuit design.
- Familiarity with IoT communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, BACnet, etc).
- Enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.
- Skilled in managing complex projects within a dynamic engineering organization.
- Committed to contributing to the fight against climate change.
- Full right to work in Ireland or UK and availability to attend regular team events face to face.
